Practically anything on the road, from a moped up to a truck. Our jumper is a serious piece of equipment - there are only a few like it in the area. As long as the electronics are not damaged, it starts.
That is the classic alternator symptom. The alternator charges the battery while you drive; if it fails, the car runs off the battery until it is flat. It will start from our jumper and stall the moment we disconnect, because nothing is charging it.
Rough rule: if the car was parked, you came back and it would not start, it is almost always the battery. If it died while you were driving and everything was flickering, it is usually the alternator. We will still come out and try.
No. We start the car so you can get moving, or we tow it to a shop. Battery sales and installation are not something we do.
Then we stop and load the car in the same visit, and take it to the shop or address you choose. There is no point standing there trying again on a car that cannot charge itself.
Only in general terms, from experience. We are not a mobile mechanic and we do not carry one. Anything beyond a jump, a wheel change, a lockout or a pull becomes a tow to a shop.
